Bone Health Program

Osteoporosis occurs when bones lose minerals, such as calcium, more quickly than the body can replace them, leading to a loss of bone thickness (bone mass or density). As a result, bones become thinner and less dense, so that even a minor bump or accident can cause serious fractures.

What is the Bone Health program?

The Bone Health program is designed to support people to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills to live well, stay strong and prevent fractures both now and in the future.

How does it work?

To help ensure that osteoporosis doesn’t slow you down, you can receive assistance from our telephone support and coaching Bone Health program. Services provided by experienced health professionals for members living with, or at risk of, osteoporosis include how to manage your care and prevent fractures. By providing straightforward education and useful support, this program can help members ensure they’re doing as much as possible to prevent an osteoporotic fracture.
