In this role, he was responsible for establishing debt funding for a range of social infrastructure assets, and was most notably involved with a majority of all SDA debt transactions in the country to date. Prior to this, Bill was CEO and Head of Australian Fixed-Income for Aberdeen Asset Management. Roy joined Australian Unity Investments (AUI) in 1998, and is responsible for the management of all mortgage investments. He started Australian Unity’s Mortgage Income Trust in 1999 and the High Yield Mortgage Trust in 2005.
Before joining Australian Unity, Roy worked for Colonial Investment Management Limited for over ten years, where he managed various mortgage portfolios, including credit risk management, portfolio construction and managing originator relationships.

He started his career as an accountant and tax advisor with Deloitte and Grant Thornton.
