Anyone entering aged care will be asked to pay.Covers your day-to-day living costs, including services such as meals, cleaning and some utilities.Calculated at 85% of the basic rate of the single aged pension, currently $65.55 per day.Starting 1 November 2025, the Hotelling Contribution will be means tested for new residents.This is capped at $22.15 per day. A means-tested fee, introduced from 1 November 2025 This contribution is for non-clinical care costs such as bathing and mobility assistance. The daily contribution will be calculated based on income and assets, up to the maximum daily rate of $105.30 It will only apply to residents who can afford both Hotelling Contribution and Non-Clinical Care Contribution.A lump sum paid as you enter your residence or within six months of entry.A refundable remaining balance when you leave.From 1 November 2025, we will retain 2% of the RAD. The retention amount will be calculated daily and deducted monthly for a maximum of 5 years from the date the RAD was paid.A daily fee paid at set periods (rental style) during your time in the residence.All DAPs are non-refundable.The DAP is calculated by multiplying the applicable Maximum Permissible Interest Rate (7.61% from 1st October 2025) by the portion of your agreed RAD amount and dividing this by 365.Pay a percentage of an agreed amount upfront as a RAD and then pay the rest over a set period as a DAP.
Flexibility to choose your RAD to DAP ratio.The higher your RAD, the lower your DAP—the Maximum Permissible Interest Rate will be applied to the DAP unpaid amount. Wellbeing Choice Fee is an optional fee where you can choose to receive higher quality everyday living services in aged care. You can choose and pay for additional services that matter most to you, such as enhanced mean choices or extra activities. You can choose the preset package, create your own bespoke package or access services on an ad-hoc basis. Wellbeing Choice allows for a more personalized aged care experience beyond basic care, with access to services like private transport or on-site hairdressing. Residents have the right to opt out either immediately within 28 days of signing or by providing 28 days’ notice after that, giving them more control and flexibility on their care. Wellbeing Choice replaces the previous "Additional Services" and "Extra Services" fees.
