Australian Unity Dental to join National Dental Care network

23 January 2023

Tags: Media

Australian Unity has entered into a preferred provider agreement with National Dental Care (NDC), a highly regarded dental network operating more than 70 dental clinics across Australia.

This move follows efforts by Australian Unity to identify options to improve its dental value proposition for health insurance members.

Under this arrangement Australian Unity health insurance members will have access to NDC’s extensive national network of dental clinics.

Australian Unity's five dental clinics in Melbourne will be sold as part of a broader transaction and will become part of NDC’s national network of dental clinics. This is expected to occur on or around 30 June 2023. Australian Unity and NDC will work together to ensure a smooth transition for employees, clinicians and patients.

In the meantime, there will be minimal impact on the day-to-day operations of Australian Unity’s dental clinics, the roles of our employees and clinicians and the quality of services we provide to our patients. Our focus is to continue to prioritise the delivery of high-quality dental care for our patients and health insurance members.
