The Commonwealth Home Support Programme

What is the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)?

The CHSP, formerly known as HACC or Home and Community Care, is a Commonwealth Government subsidy that supports older people who are mostly but not completely, able to live and cope on their own. It covers what is referred to as ‘entry-level services’ which can range from cleaning your house once a month to helping you out in the garden. If this sounds like what you are looking for, you may be eligible.

If your needs are more complex than this, you may find a home care package to be more suitable.
