Australian Unity Bank will reduce its home loan variable rates by 0.25% per annum (p.a.), following the Reserve Bank of Australia’s (RBA) decision on Tuesday 18 February 2025 to reduce the cash rate from 4.35% to 4.10% p.a.

All home loan variable rate changes will be effective 3 March 2025.

Matthew Ricker, Chief Executive Officer at Australian Unity Bank, said the reduction in interest rates will be welcome news for its home loan customers who have been waiting for some time for pressure to ease.

“Every dollar counts and we know this announcement will bring relief to many Australian households.”

“We also know that increasing home loan rates over the last four years has added significant pressure on the cost of living for many households and some families will still be feeling a squeeze.”

“Our teams are here to help customers navigate this change and we encourage customers experiencing financial difficulty to get in touch as soon as possible for assistance.”

New and existing customers can contact Australian Unity Bank on 1300 790 740.
