Australian Unity has been named in the Top 20 Best Workplaces to Give Back in the 2025 GoodCompany Awards, which highlight employers that support their people to contribute through volunteering, payroll giving, fundraising and other community programs.

Dean Chesterman, Group Executive People and Culture at Australian Unity, said the result reflects the kind of workplace employees want to be part of.

“Our people want their work to matter and they also want practical ways to support the causes they care about,” Mr Chesterman said.

“This recognition shows that the support we provide for giving, both time and money is real. It sits alongside our focus on wellbeing, flexible work and inclusive culture, and it helps people feel proud of where they work.”

Australian Unity offers paid volunteer leave, workplace giving with matched donations, and strong support for our community through our charity partnerships. These programs sit beside work in reconciliation, inclusion and sustainability and are designed to support both employees and the communities they live in.

“Our team in People and Culture sees the impact of these programs every day, from higher engagement to a stronger sense of connection across the organisation,” Mr Chesterman said.

“Being named one of the Best Workplaces to Give Back is a positive milestone, and it also reminds us to keep strengthening the ways we help our people contribute to the community.”
