Following the Reserve Bank of Australia’s decision to increase the official cash rate by 0.25%, Australian Unity Bank will increase selected savings, term deposit and home loan interest rates for customers, effective Thursday 16 February.

New deposit rates
  • Easy Saver Account with bonus interest rate will increase by 0.55% p.a. to 4.35% p.a.
  • Six month Term Deposit interest rate will increase by 0.25% p.a. to 3.75% p.a.
  • Nine month Term Deposit interest rate will increase by 0.25% p.a. to 4.00% p.a.

New home loan rates
  • Home loan variable interest rates for new and existing customers will increase by 0.25% p.a.

Matthew Ricker, Chief Executive Officer at Australian Unity Bank, said these changes are carefully considered along with current interest rates to balance the needs of customers and depositors together with the broader market.

“With many Australians looking at savings rates, our changes to deposit interest rates aim to provide competitive products for those seeking to achieve their financial goals in 2023,” said Mr Ricker.

“We understand that many households are also facing increased financial pressure as a result of cost of living and rate changes. We strongly encourage anyone experiencing financial difficulty to reach out to our team for assistance as soon as possible.”
