Comprehensive Car Insurance provides cover for fire, theft, accidents and malicious damage. It also covers your legal liability for loss or damage to someone else's property caused by a motor vehicle accident which is partly or fully your fault.
It also includes the reasonable costs of towing after a covered accident, the cost of emergency repairs up to $500, lock re-keying or re-coding if the keys to your vehicle are stolen up to $1000 and Replacement of any Child Seat or Baby Capsule in the vehicle after a covered accident up to $500 in any one incident.
Our Comprehensive Car Insurance policies include cover for accidental damage or loss to your car including flood, storm and hail. Please note that a 72 hour waiting period applies to cover for loss or damage caused by cyclone, flood or bushfire. Refer to the PDS for more information and terms and conditions including your responsibilities.
A car insurance excess is the amount you must pay for each incident when you make a claim. Unless we state otherwise, when you make a claim under the policy, you will need to pay an excess – which is a type of co-payment toward your claim.
Having an excess can help to keep the cost of premiums down by reducing the number of small claims. The amount and type of excess you will pay will be shown in your policy schedule.

Comprehensive Car Insurance provides cover for theft. You also get a Rental car following theft of your vehicle, up to 30 days at a maximum rate of $100 per day, subject to the terms, conditions, limits and exclusions in the PDS.
It is important to list all drivers on your policy. If the driver is not listed on the policy and you need to make a claim, you may need to pay an age excess if they are under 25 or an unnamed driver excess where the Named driver option is selected.

Any online discounts offered are applied to our standard rates (excluding optional covers) and are for the first year’s premium only (unless otherwise stated). 3 The Safe Driver Discount applies to Comprehensive Motor Insurance policies only. Any discount entitlement is determined by the insurance history and driving history of all drivers on the policy and the number of claims made by them. If eligible, the maximum Safe Driver Discount that may be applied on new policies is up to 10%.
4Applicable to Comprehensive Motor Insurance policies only, If you choose to reduce your premium by selecting the Named Driver option and naming all drivers on your policy, an unnamed driver will incur a $2,500 excess (this replaces the basic and all other excesses where applicable).
5Premiums payable by instalments may be subject to minor adjustments (upwards or downwards) due to rounding and financial institution transaction fees may apply.
6Choice of Repairer - If you choose your own repairer, we may need a second quote from another repairer chosen by us just to make sure the quote you've received is reasonable. We may then authorise repairs, pay you reasonable repair costs or the car’s value (agreed or market value- as set out in your policy schedule) or replace your new car where policy conditions are met.
