As Australia’s first member-owned wellbeing company we’re committed to ensuring that health insurance remains affordable for all Australians. Many Australians are dealing with the ongoing financial impacts of the pandemic and the most recent flood disaster as well as managing delays to the delivery of some healthcare services. We encourage our customers and members of other health funds to have a conversation with us to ensure they’re on the best product to suit their health and budget needs. We’re proud to offer our members access to a range of health programs and services designed to make the most of their health insurance.
While premium increases are never welcomed, they are necessary to keep pace with the rising cost of healthcare treatment. Premium increases normally occur every April across all health funds. This year some funds have decided to postpone their premium changes until later in the year. At Australian Unity we’re going ahead with the premium change on 1 April.
We’re doing this to keep premium increases as low as possible whilst ensuring that our members have access to the best healthcare options when they need it, instead of ‘kicking the can down the road’ and risking having to compensate with greater price increases in the future. At Australian Unity we want to support our members by keeping our annual review process as consistent, and transparent as possible. Our members will continue to receive great value from their Australian Unity Health Insurance. We’re proud to support the real wellbeing of our members in a number of different ways:
Australian Unity has a long history of supporting our members through good times and bad times. We’re proud of the work we have done to keep health insurance affordable over the last couple of years
