Australian Unity announces resignation of Dr Joe Fernandes, Executive General Manager – Funds Management & Group CIO
Group Chief Investment Officer (CIO), effective 28 February 2026.
Dr Fernandes has played a pivotal role in leading and transforming Australian Unity’s funds management businesses over the past five years. His leadership has strengthened the Group’s investment, commercial and strategic disciplines across its funds management activities, delivering significant value for investors and a more focused portfolio of investment offers aligned to the Group’s strategic vision.
Adam Vise, Acting Chief Executive Officer- Wealth & Capital Markets said “Dr Fernandes’ tenure has been characterised by an unwavering focus on delivering quality and value for investors and members. Australian Unity has commenced a recruitment process for Dr Fernandes’ replacement.
