Australian Unity has been named winner of the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Award for Private Health Insurer of the Year (Retail) 2023.

These customer satisfaction ratings are collected from approximately 60,000 Australians annually, with interviews conducted each week.

The winner is determined as the organisation that has achieved the most months with a number one ranking for Customer Satisfaction across a calendar year. In 2023, Australian Unity scored 12 months of consecutive wins to take out the Private Health Insurer of the Year (Retail) award.

Private Health Insurance CEO, Rebecca Windsor, said as a wellbeing company, Australian Unity continuously works to improve the way we do things to benefit our customers.

“The award is testament to the work of our dedicated team who help our members navigate the health system, understand their cover, deliver affordable new private health insurance options and improve digital customer solutions."

“Keeping health insurance affordable for members has been another key focus for the team especially in this period of rising cost of living pressures,” Ms Windsor said.

Australian Unity was also recently awarded three WeMoney Customer Satisfaction Awards for its Comprehensive Cover, Bronze Hospital Cover, and Best Overseas Visitor Health Cover Australia. It was also named a finalist in the WeMoney Digital Health Insurer of the Year, Outstanding Customer Service (Health Insurance) category.
