About our rooms

Our rooms are thoughtfully designed with the latest innovations in aged care living, providing a comfortable and tranquil environment for privacy and relaxation. Each spacious room is furnished with high-quality, purpose-built items to accommodate residents' changing needs. Choose a fully furnished room with a bed and armchair, or bring some treasured belongings to make it feel like home. Standard features include 24-hour nurse call buttons and reverse cycle air conditioning, all with adjustable controls to suit comfort. Many rooms offer beautiful garden views, some overlooking our inviting entertainment areas.

Each private room is purpose-built to enhance mobility, accommodate changing needs, and maintain privacy and independence. Each room is a personal haven—perfect for relaxing, reading, spending time with visitors, or enjoying favourite shows. We encourage residents to personalize your space with photos, artwork, and mementos of loved ones to truly make it their own.

Room pricing

You can choose to pay for your accommodation in one of three ways:

as a lump sum called a Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD)
as a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) which is a non-refundable daily payment
as a combination of both the RAD and DAP

Under the new Aged Care Act, from 1 November 2025, aged care providers will be required to retain 2% of the Refundable Accommodation Deposits paid. This retention amount will be calculated daily and deducted monthly for a maximum of 5 years from the date the Refundable Accommodation Deposits was paid. Please note that the above prices are subject to change without notice.

Higher Everyday Living Fee

This is why we are proud to offer you our Wellbeing Choice Program - our enhanced take on the government’s ‘Higher Everyday Living Fee’ option - to give you choice, meet your preferences and suit your needs.

What is a Higher Everyday Living Fee?

The Higher Everyday Living Fee (HELF) is an optional fee for people who choose to receive a higher standard of everyday living services in aged care, beyond the standard services funded by the government. These services include items such as upgraded meals, more varied activities, lifestyle options, entertainment, or other non-standard amenities.

Wellbeing Choice packages

Australian Unity has thoughtfully designed two higher everyday living packages for our residents, the Lumina Essentials, and the Lumina Signature.

Our Lumina Essentials Package offers enhanced meal and non-alcoholic beverage choices, and access to technology to stay connected with loved ones, while our Lumina Signature Package contains everything in the Lumina Essentials Package plus offers alcoholic beverages and enhanced lifestyle choices.

If you are not sure our packages are right for you, you can choose from individual, ad-hoc or on demand services at any time.
