Our dedicated hairdressing and beauty salon ensures that residents continue to look and feel their best.

Meals are freshly prepared by on-site chefs, with a variety of delicious, nutritious, and seasonal options available. Each household also features a beautifully appointed kitchen, where residents can cook their own meals. The well-stocked pantry is replenished daily with fresh produce.

We offer a wide range of activities aimed at enhancing wellbeing, maximizing independence, and helping residents continue to enjoy the things they love. Our supportive care team is also on hand to assist with everyday tasks, giving residents more time to focus on what truly matters to them.

About our rooms

Each of our private suites is purpose-built to enhance mobility, accommodate changing needs, and nurture privacy and independence. Our rooms provide a peaceful haven to relax, read, spend time with visitors, or catch up on Favorite television shows. We encourage our residents to personalize their rooms by bringing along treasured items such as photos, artwork, and mementos from special occasions or holidays.

Our model at Walmsley allows residents to remain in the same room and homelike environment, regardless of their changing care needs. This helps them maintain a sense of comfort and continuity, ensuring they truly feel at home in their own space.

Room pricing

You can choose to pay for your accommodation in one of three ways:

as a lump sum called a Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD)
as a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) which is a non-refundable daily payment
as a combination of both the RAD and DAP

Under the new Aged Care Act, from 1 November 2025, aged care providers will be required to retain 2% of the Refundable Accommodation Deposits paid. This retention amount will be calculated daily and deducted monthly for a maximum of 5 years from the date the Refundable Accommodation Deposits was paid. Please note that the above prices are subject to change without notice.

This is why we are proud to offer you our Wellbeing Choice Program - our enhanced take on the government’s ‘Higher Everyday Living Fee’ option - to give you choice, meet your preferences and suit your needs.

What is a Higher Everyday Living Fee?

The Higher Everyday Living Fee (HELF) is an optional fee for people who choose to receive a higher standard of everyday living services in aged care, beyond the standard services funded by the government. These services include items such as upgraded meals, more varied activities, lifestyle options, entertainment, or other non-standard amenities.

Wellbeing Choice packages

Australian Unity has thoughtfully designed two higher everyday living packages for our residents, the Lumina Essentials, and the Lumina Signature.

Our Lumina Essentials Package offers enhanced meal and non-alcoholic beverage choices, and access to technology to stay connected with loved ones, while our Lumina Signature Package contains everything in the Lumina Essentials Package plus offers alcoholic beverages and enhanced lifestyle choices.

If you are not sure our packages are right for you, you can choose from individual, ad-hoc or on demand services at any time.
