In November, we welcomed one of the most significant milestones being the launch of the Government’s Support at Home program — a reform designed to simplify home care and place customer rights and protections at its heart.

Restorative care can help participants regain or maintain their independence and functional abilities after an illness, injury, or decline in health, and importantly, it aims to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being to prevent the need for higher levels of care.

On 1 November 2025, Australia’s aged-care system entered a new era, with the launch of Support at Home.

Before SunSmart campaigns began to change the relationship we have with the harsh Australian sun, many of today’s older people were exposed to strong ultraviolet (UV) radiation, often for many decades without realising the dangers.

The Support at Home program introduces a specialised end-of-life funding stream to increase services and support participants who have been diagnosed with 3 months or less to live and wish to remain at home.  

Haven’t signed your agreement yet? Rest assured, services continue as normal

Care plans are a necessary and important part of receiving a Support at Home funding package.
