The new Aged Care Act 2024 comes into effect on 1 November 2025, replacing the 1997 legislation that has guided aged care for nearly three decades. Greater transparency around fees, services and what you’re entitled to. Fairer financial arrangements, including lifetime caps on some contributions.
Easier access to help at home through the new Support at Home program, which will replace the current Home Care Packages.
