Wellbeing company Australian Unity has been recognised at the Reader’s Digest Quality Service Awards, winning Gold in the categories of Home Care Services Victoria/Tasmania and Aged Care and Retirement Villages.

Australian Unity’s Home Health CEO Prue Bowden said the company was proud to be winners at the awards, which were announced in Sydney on 16 November 2022.

“Every time we speak to our home care customers, quality is what they value the most,” Ms Bowden said.

“Quality is something we always continue to strive for and maintain, and that starts with listening to our customers and providing them with products and services that makes their lives better.

“To be recognised in this way says a lot about our culture and values and these Awards recognise the dedication and professionalism of our people.”

Executive General Manager for Residential Communities Beverly Smith said the Awards reflected our commitment to providing high quality care.

“These Awards acknowledge the years of hard work by our team and celebrate the vision and community contribution of Australian Unity as a mutual and wellbeing company.

“For 10 years, Australian Unity’s Better Together® model has informed the design and enabled the development of strong communities that provide individuals with a sense of purpose and security through meaningful engagement, access to quality accommodation and services and social connectedness.”

The Readers Digest Quality Service Awards add to recent awards including:

  • The Grace Albert Park Lake, Best Retirement Living Development at this year’s National Retirement Living Awards, •
  • Australian Financial Review’s Sustainability Leaders for 2022 and ESG Metrics Innovator Award, and •
  • The Readers Digest Awards for Most Trusted Brand in the Home Care Victoria/Tasmania category and a Highly Commended in the Aged Care and Retirement Villages category.
