Retirement Village Investment Notes (Notes) combine Australian Unity’s expertise in retirement living, property and investment management. The Notes provide investors with regular, stable returns based on a loan provided to fund retirement villages that are managed by Australian Unity.
The Notes pay a fixed rate of interest on the principal amount invested from the date an application is accepted to maturity. Interest is paid quarterly in arrears and on maturity the principal amount invested is returned to investors. Please note we may offer to extend the Notes for a further term in writing prior to maturity
The Notes are secured notes for the purposes of Section 283BH of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) modified by ASIC Class Order [CO12/1482] When debentures can be called secured notes. Although these are secured notes, they are not a bank deposit and there is a risk that investors could lose some or all their money.
The funds will go to help Australian Unity’s independent and assisted living business, which develops and operates retirement villages and aged care facilities.
