Formally dressed people cutting the ribbon for Sunshine clinic private hospital

The Australian Unity Healthcare Property Trust this week marked the opening of Sunshine Private Hospital, a state-of-the-art 75-bed private hospital in western Melbourne that sits within our $3.8 billion portfolio, and return of world class mental health services to the Sunshine Private Health Hub.

Led by a group of leading psychiatrists and operating in a community facing an undersupply of private mental health services, Sunshine Clinic Private Hospital is delivering both inpatient care and outpatient day programs to treat a broad range of low-to-moderate mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD and bipolar disorder.

Sunshine Private Hospital will deliver vital health services to Melbourne’s rapidly growing western suburbs, while providing our investors with reliable income via our 30-year lease signed with Unitas Healthcare. As Australia’s first fully electric private hospital with a five star Green Star rating, it’s also a great example of the leading sustainability initiatives underway within the trust.

Australian Unity is committed to improving health infrastructure in the Western suburbs of Melbourne, and our long-term partnership with Sunshine Clinic will serve local communities, create healthcare jobs and benefit investors in the Healthcare Property Trust.

Congratulations again to the Sunshine Clinic team led by Joy Schaffner, Dr Rajiv Siotia and Associate Professor Mahesh Jayaram.
