John brings over 25 years of commercial leadership experience to Australian Unity, with a strong track record in financial planning, strategic analysis, and building high-performing teams across diverse industries.
Prior to joining Australian Unity in October 2024, John held senior roles at Kinetic, including Head of Commercial and Transition Manager, where he led national sales restructuring, renegotiated key contracts, and managed the successful transition of Melbourne’s bus franchise operations. His earlier career includes nearly 15 years in institutional finance, serving as Managing Director at both Mitsubishi UFJ Securities International and Merrill Lynch International, where he led credit trading, institutional sales, and strategic growth initiatives across Europe and Australia.
John’s expertise spans financial modelling, pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and commercial transformation. He is passionate about delivering customer-centric outcomes and driving innovation in fast-paced environments.
He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
