Metro North Hospital and Health Service

Metro North Hospital and Health Service (MNHHS) is the landowner and major partner of the Herston Quarter redevelopment project. Metro North is Queensland’s largest health provider and one of its largest employers, with more than 17000 staff. The MNHHS has a catchment of more than 900,000 local residents from north of the Brisbane River to north of Kilcoy.

With two super specialist referral hospitals, two major hospitals and a regional community hospital, Metro North delivers high quality and patient-centred health services. In addition, Metro North provides specialist aged and residential care, community based care, mental health and oral health services, as well as Queensland’s most extensive telehealth services.

Established in 1983, Watpac (ASX: WTP) is a leading national construction and civil and mining services company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.

In August 2016, Australian Unity announced Watpac as the Preferred Builder to deliver the Herston Quarter development.
