NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples from across Australia.

In 2018 we celebrate a momentous theme “Because of her, we can” which shines a light on the impact and importance of women within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

At a recent NAIDOC Week gathering in Dubbo, NSW, members of the local community shared stories from their lives and experiences, their hopes for reconciliation and equality, and why this year’s NAIDOC is so important for truth-telling, culture and communities.
