Terms and conditions

  1. Lower fees apply from 1 July 2019 (commencement date).
  2. At the date of publication, lower fees only apply to new customers in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales who have been assigned a Home Care Package on or after 1 July 2019 and existing clients in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales who upgrade their Home Care Package on or after 1 July 2019 (eligible clients).
  3. At the date of publication, lower fees do not apply to Australian Unity Home Care clients who joined Australian Unity prior to 1 July 2019.
  4. References to ‘lowered fees’ and/or ‘lower fees’ means the following:
    1. Establishment fee: from the commencement date, eligible clients will not be charged any initial set-up costs to come on-board;
    2. Exit fee: from the commencement date, eligible clients will not be charged any exits fees if they decide to leave Australian Unity;
    3. Travel fees: from the commencement date, eligible clients will not be charged extra per kilometre charges for care workers to travel to their home or preferred service location (this does not include in-service travel, e.g. taking clients to an appointment);
    4. Separate fee when receiving services from another provider: from the commencement date, eligible clients will not be charged an additional fee should we need to engage another provider on their behalf;
    5. Core advisory fee: from the commencement date, eligible clients will not be charged a core advisory fee; and
    6. Care management fees: from the commencement date, our care management package fees (including our fully managed fortnightly fees and our self-managed fortnightly fees) reduced for eligible clients.
  5. Unless expressly stated in clause 4 of these terms and conditions, our Home Care service fees have not been lowered.

  7. These terms and conditions are considered to be true and correct at the date of publication. Changes in circumstances after the time of publication may impact on the accuracy of the information.
  8. Australian Unity reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without notice.
