You can swipe your Australian Unity membership card to claim on-the-spot at many dentists, chiropractors, optometrists, physiotherapists, and other traditional and natural therapy service providers that offer HICAPS and IBA HealthPoint electronic claims facilities.
Once your claim is authorised, you simply pay any difference between the full fee for the treatment and the benefit amount claimed from your Australian Unity Extras cover.

TeleClaims allows you to phone through your claim. Make sure you have your
membership number and claim receipts ready when you call as we aim to process
your claim on the spot. After your refund has been directly credited to your
nominated bank, building society or credit union account, you will be
instructed to mail us the receipts for verification.
To lodge your next claim by phone, call TeleClaims on 1800 807 144 between
9:00am and 5:00pm EST, Monday to Friday.

If you have access to a fax machine, you can also fax your claim form and the
relevant accounts and receipts to us on 1800 852 030 (this is a free fax number).

Your benefits will be paid into a nominated bank, building society or credit
union account by Direct Credit. Please note that we cannot make direct payments
to your credit card account. This service lets us pay your claim benefits quickly and securely, so you can
have the money you’ve outlaid back sooner. You can register for Direct Credit in Online Services.

Register
for Online Services or log in to access your claim history and to view your limit availability. Once logged in you’ll
find these options and more under the ‘Claims’ menu.
We’ll also send you a monthly claims benefits statement detailing any amounts we’ve paid under your membership.
If you make more than one claim in a month, they’ll all be detailed on the one statement. If you don’t make any claims, you won’t receive a statement for that month.
