Having trouble logging in?

This is usually caused by one of the following browser issues:

  • Cookies need to be enabled
  • Temporary files need may to be deleted

The instructions below explain how to address both of these issues.

How do I enable cookies?

Google Chrome

  1. Open the Google Chrome menu (click the three-line icon in the top-right corner of the browser), and then select Settings.
  2. At the bottom of the Settings page, select Show advanced settings.
  3. Under the Privacy section, click the Content settings button.
  4. In the Content settings window, under Cookies, click the Manage exceptions button.
  5. In the Cookie and site data exceptions window, type the following Hostname pattern:
    • [*.]www.australianunity.com
  6. Select to Allow the hostname pattern, and then click Done.
  7. Click Done to close the Content settings window.

iOS (Safari)

  1. Select the Settings icon.
  2. Select Safari from the options listed.
  3. In the Privacy section, ensure that Private Browsing is turned Off.
  4. In the Accept Cookies section, select From visited.

Internet Explorer

  1. Open the Internet Explorer menu, and then select Tools.
  2. From the drop-down menu, select Internet Options.
  3. In the Internet Options window, select the Privacy tab.
  4. In the Settings area, click the Sites button.
  5. Type the following site address in the space provided:
    • australianunity.com.au
  6. Select to Allow the site, and then click the OK button.
  7. Click OK to close the Internet Options window.

Firefox

  1. Open the Firefox menu (click the three-line icon in the top-right corner of the browser), and then select Options.
  2. Click the Privacy icon (from the left-hand panel)
  3. In the History area, select for Firefox to use custom settings for history from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click the Exceptions button.
  5. Type the following address into the space provided, and then click the Allow button.
    • australianunity.com.au
  6. Click the Save Changes button.

How do I delete temporary files?

Google Chrome

  1. Open the Google Chrome menu (click the three-line icon in the top-right corner of the browser), and then select More tools (this option is called Tools in older browser versions).
  2. Select to Clear browsing data.
  3. Select to clear your browsing data for the past day for the following items:
    • Browsing history
    • Cookies and other site and plugin data
    • Cached images and files
  4. Clear the Clear browsing data button.

Internet Explorer

  1. Open the Internet Explorer menu, and then select Tools.
  2. From the drop-down menu, select Internet Options.
  3. In the Internet Options window, select the General tab.
  4. In the Browsing history area, click the Delete button.
  5. Select to delete Temporary Internet files, and then click the Delete button.
  6. Click OK after all files have been deleted.

Firefox

  1. Open the Firefox menu (click the three-line icon in the top-right corner of the browser), and then select History.
  2. Select to Clear recent history.
  3. From the Time range to clear drop-down list, select Today.
  4. Click the arrow next to the Details option and make sure that Cache is ticked.
  5. Click the Clear now button.

iOS (Safari)

  1. Select the Settings icon.
  2. Select Safari from the options listed.
  3. Select Clear Cookies and Data.
  4. When prompted, select Clear Cookies and Data again.
