Rehabilitation at home

Australian Unity is running a home rehabilitation pilot program in conjunction with Rehability for Melbourne based members who are to undergo hip or knee joint replacement surgery. Eligible members are able to receive the physiotherapy and rehabilitation they need in their own home after surgery, instead of being admitted to a rehabilitation hospital.

Rehability is an experienced home and community based physiotherapy and rehabilitation company which has been providing services for over 10 years. If your orthopaedic surgeon has advised that you will need a hip or knee joint replacement and think you’d like to recover at home, call 1800 224 244 for more information.

The Rehability home rehabilitation service is currently available to Australian Unity members with any hospital or combination product other than Care n Repair or Overseas Visitors’ Cover. The program is currently running in Metropolitan Melbourne, with plans to extend to metropolitan Sydney and Adelaide in 2011.
