The first word
Welcome to the Winter/Spring 2007 edition of Lifeplus.
As you have probably noticed, we have given this edition of Lifeplus a makeover. Earlier this year we asked readers what they thought about the magazine. We got some great feedback – and some great ideas.
You told us that you found the magazine useful and you like the stories. In fact, 79 percent of respondents said that Lifeplus is always full of interesting articles. But you also asked for more articles that are directly relevant to what's going on in your own life.
So we have increased our coverage on health, fitness, money and investments, and added a few new sections that you haven't seen before.
In this edition we take a look at the new fitness craze sweeping the country and show you ways to foster positive body image. Our finance feature examines money markets and China's impact the world economy. And wellbeing comes under the spotlight again, as housing affordability and rent prices soar.
For those looking for some lighter reading, we give you eight of the more unique events taking place across Australia. You will also find some tasty recipe ideas to spice up your lunchtime. And don't miss our Lifeplus competition – you could win $1000 spending money.
But we haven't just supercharged the content to cover more of the topics you asked for. We have also created a fresh now new look that
fits better with our new corporate brand.
Earlier this month we launched our new logo, a kookaburra in flight, to better reflect the modern company that we have become.
Our fresh new logo is the next phase in this evolution. It was chosen to represent our friendly modern company and to better reflect our growing businesses, which now span investments, insurance, healthcare, retirement living and financial planning.
This is an exciting time for Australian Unity and we hope that you'll enjoy sharing this journey with us.
I hope you enjoy reading Lifeplus and, as always, welcome your ideas for future editions.
