The Henry Lawson Memorial and Literary Society lnc. was formed in 1923 by a group of people who wanted to celebrate the memory of one
of Australia's greatest story writers and poets, Henry Lawson.
The group meets once a month and members read and recite their own works as well as stories and poems by Henry Lawson and other traditional
Australian writers.
Interested in joining?
If you'd like to join the Henry Lawson Memorial & Literary Society, simply come along to one of their friendy monthly meetings
on the third Saturday of each month (during February-December), at Monastry Hall, St Francis' Church, corner Lonsdale and Elizabeth Streets
in Melbourne.
A memberhip fee of $20 is payable at the first meeting or by sending a cheque or postal order made out to the Henry Lawson Memorial & Literary Society lnc. to:
