2005/06 was a year of continued strong development for the Australian Unity Group
with our three areas of business - health, financial services, and retirement living –
all contributing to growth and performance.
Australian Unity posted a 54% increase in profit after tax for 2005/06, recording a post-tax profit of $23.8 million
from $614 million in revenues. Pre-tax profit was $28.2 million.
The result includes the first full year contribution from Grand United
following the merger with Australian Unity in March 2005.
The Group now has over 400,000 customers including some 190,000 members nationwide. Its operations employ some 1,300 people.
The 2006 Annual Report provides a review of operations for the year, detailed financial
statements of the company, as well as the Directors' and auditor's report.
