The Australian Unity Group strengthened during the year, continuing
its evolution as a diversified health, financial and retirement
living services company.
Australian Unity posted a 38% increase in profit before tax for 2004/05,
recording a pre-tax profit of $17.4 million from revenues of $474 million.
The years results include a four month contribution from Grand United
but this was offset by associated merger costs.
Australian Unity now has operations in five states with these operations
employing some 1,300 people, providing a broad range of products and
services to some 200,000 members, and many tens of thousands of additional
customers.
Australian Unity’s Annual Report provides a review of operations for the year,
detailed financial statements of the company, as well as the Directors'
and auditor's report.
