Dental Care

Our Dental Centres are open to everyone - members and non-members - and provide a high level of care and understanding of your needs.

We utilise proven technological advances that enable us to provide optimum levels of care and convenience for our patients, such as:

Digital imaging technology when taking x-rays, enabling a more efficient use of your time when in the dental chair.
A practice management and record-keeping system that is fully computerised, ensuring the availability of your important information is maintained.
The CEREC system enables us to design and produce in-surgery porcelain restorations, veneers, inlays, onlays and crowns for your convenience.
The Zoom II in-chair tooth whitening process, designed to improve and enhance the brightness of your smile within around 90 minutes.
Dental implantology can replace the need for removable prosthetic devices and may offer a desirable alternative to Bridgework.
The Invisalign orthodontic system that uses clear, removable aligners, that are worn at all times, to realign and adjust your smile.

When was the last time you visited the dentist?

Despite it being drummed into us that we should visit the dentist regularly, research shows that people between the ages of 20 and 45 typically don’t visit the dentist unless a condition develops, such as a toothache.

Regular dental check ups will help address any dental problems before they become acute.

And if you’re a parent, taking your children to the dentist from an early age will not only assist in the early identification of potential problems but will help your child develop good dental habits and become accustomed with the surgery environment.

Australian Unity operates three dental centres; at The Block Arcade, Collins Street, Melbourne, at Whitehorse Road, Box Hill, and at Albert Road, South Melbourne. All centres are staffed by qualified professionals who offer all aspects of dental care, including general and advanced dental care, cosmetic dentistry and tooth whitening.

Services are available to both members and non-members of Australian Unity.

Australian Unity health insurance members who have a Combination cover, or Comprehensive or Super Extras health cover are entitled to special rebates on dental services. And, with our fixed out-of-pocket charges on all services, you know in advance what you need to pay.
