Want the reassurance of top hospital
cover whenever you might need it?
Comprehensive Hospital is our most complete form of hospital cover. It
provides 100% hospital accommodation in any of our Agreement Hospitals
and covers the widest range of services. So no matter what life throws at
you – whether it’s appendicitis or quintuplets (!), you can look forward to
the best possible care. And that means you can relax and enjoy the other
99.9% of your days.
(Choose nil excess, $250 excess or $500 excess.)

 |

Want great hospital cover, without
paying for things you don’t need?
If starting a family is not on your agenda – you may be young and single
or more mature, for example – then you should be able to save on your
hospital cover. Non-Obstetric Hospital gives you comprehensive hospital
cover without the need to pay for pregnancy cover.
Choose $250 or $500 excess to help reduce your contributions.
# Excludes pregnancy, birth related services and IVF/GIFT.

 |

Want the peace of mind of being covered for more than just the basics?
Perfect cover for young, healthy people who may also be planning a family or have small children and who want the peace of mind that comes with being prepared for the unexpected.

Just looking for affordable protection
against life’s curve-balls?
Basic Hospital cover provides you with “just in case” cover, so that you
can be treated as a private patient in a public hospital. It means you’ll have
your choice of doctor. It’s not too fancy – but then it’s not too expensive
either. You can expect great private patient hospital care in a public hospital
if you need it, but keep saving towards your house, overseas trip or whatever
is important to you right now.
† Covered as a private patient in a shared room of a public hospital.
Not suitable for accommodation in a private hospital.

|
How are Australian Unity’s excesses applied?
Unlike some health funds, Australian Unity only applies the excess on
your first admission to hospital in a calendar year with singles cover and
up to twice in a calendar year with couples or family cover.
