Pay less with the Federal Government 30% Rebate on Private Health Insurance
The Government Rebate has made private health cover more affordable.
Regardless of your income, level of cover or type of membership, private
health insurance now costs less with the Federal Government Rebate.
If you are under the age of 65, you're entitled to a 30% rebate. Members
between 65 and 69 years of age receive a 35% rebate and members 70 years of
age are entitled to a 40% rebate. You can receive your rebate through a
reduction on your contributions, as a rebate on your annual income tax or
as a reimbursement from Medicare.
You may be eligible to continue to receive the higher rebate even if
the oldest person on their membership leaves, for example due to death,
divorce or separation.
