The merger between Grand United Health Fund and Australian Unity
Healthcare took place on 1 October 2005. It was a natural progression,
following the merger of both funds’ parent organisations in March
this year.
The merger enables us to make your health cover even better than
ever by offering you the best of both funds – better services,
more advantages and better value.
While there are many great new advantages, there’s also a lot that
remains the same for Grand United members. You keep the
same health cover,
receive the same benefits and you have the same yearly limits.
What’s new is that we now offer you even more contribution reductions
through
direct debit
and credit card payments, flexible excess options
that allow you to save and access to our
Wellplan health management program
– and there’s much more too.
We wrote to all Grand United members individually, detailing what the
merger means for their health cover during the week of 19 September,
and during the week of 26 September all members should have received
their new membership card and number.
