Mr Bryant joined Australian Unity in 2004. He is Chief Executive Officer for Australian Unity, Wealth and Chief Investment Officer for the Australian Unity Group. He is responsible for Australian Unity’s financial services, investment and banking activities in Australia and Hong Kong. He is a board member of many of its operating entities and Investment Joint Venture subsidiaries. Prior to joining Australian Unity David was Chief Operating Officer at Perpetual Personal Financial Services, and has held senior roles in financial services, asset consulting, and banking, for both Australian and international organisations. His various roles have encompassed responsibilities for business across the Asia Pacific region. Mr Bryant is a director of the Australian Financial Services Council and co-chair of its Advice Board Committee.
Kevin McCoy BCom HDip Acc, CA, PMP, GAICD
Chief Financial Officer
Mr McCoy joined Australian Unity in April 2012 and became Chief Financial Officer in March 2014. He was previously Group Executive - Strategic Business Development and Deputy CFO, and was responsible for the effective execution of strategic initiatives, treasury, capital management and organisation-wide performance measures. He previously had a successful consulting relationship with Australian Unity having project managed the merger with Grand United in 2005, the sale of the General Insurance business in 2007 and the recent merger with Big Sky Credit Union. Other major consulting clients included Westpac where he managed the merger with St.George in 2008, the IPO of BTIM in 2007, the acquisition of RAMS in 2007 and the sale of the Custody business to HSBC in 2006. Mr McCoy has more than 15 years’ experience in senior finance and project management roles primarily in the finance industry. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and is also an accredited project management professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute.
Anthony Connon BA (Oxon), FCA, FAICD

Mr Connon joined Australian Unity in 1995 as Chief Financial Officer. He stepped down from his role as Chief Financial Officer on 3 March 2014 and assumed the role of Strategic Adviser to the Group Managing Director. He is a member of the Investment Committee. Mr Connon has more than 30 years' experience in senior finance and administrative roles within various organisations including PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Grindlays Bank and Elders Finance Group. Before joining Australian Unity, Mr Connon was financial controller of the Australian Wheat Board. Mr Connon is the honorary treasurer of Friendly Societies of Australia Inc and the Australian Club, Melbourne and is a board member of the Sir Robert Menzies Memorial Foundation Limited. Mr Connon was a non-executive director of Calliden Group Limited until December 2014 and a board member of the Lord Mayor's Charitable Foundation until April 2016.
Steve Davis CFP, GAICD
Chief Executive Officer, Personal Financial Services
Mr Davis joined Australian Unity in February 2009 as Head of Practice Development, Personal Financial Services and in August 2009 he was promoted to the role of General Manager, and again to Chief Executive Officer in August 2012. Mr Davis is responsible for the operations and growth of the Group’s Personal Financial Services business, which delivers high quality financial planning, finance broking, general insurance broking, life risk insurance services, estate planning and estate administration to clients through a network of financial advisers, accountants and finance brokers. Mr Davis has more than 30 years’ experience in financial services.
Amanda Hagan BSc (BIT), SIA, GAICD

Ms Hagan joined Australian Unity in May 2006. As Chief Executive Officer, Healthcare and Chief Executive Officer and director of Australian Unity Health Limited and Grand United Corporate Health Limited, she is responsible for all elements of Australian Unity’s healthcare operations and strategic development of the business. Ms Hagan took on the new and additional responsibility for executing the Australian Unity Group’s digital agenda, leading the newly created Digital Transformation Centre. She is a director of a number of Australian Unity Limited subsidiaries. Ms Hagan is also a director of the Australian Health Service Alliance (a cooperative hospital contracting company formed by 24 health insurance funds) and Members Own Health Fund. Ms Hagan has more than 20 years’ experience in senior roles consulting on strategic projects for a range of companies including AGL, American Express and Energy Australia. Before joining Australian Unity, Ms Hagan held various executive roles with Perpetual Limited.
Kimina Lyall GAICD

Ms Lyall joined Australian Unity in 2007. Appointed as Group Executive – Corporate Development in August 2008, she is responsible for group strategy, corporate communications, member relations and the development of the corporate brand. She is director of Australian Unity Personal Financial Services Limited, Australian Unity Retirement Living Services Limited, and Australian Unity Retirement Living Holdings Pty Ltd. Prior to joining Australian Unity Ms Lyall worked as a journalist for 15 years. She worked for Time Australia and The Australian newspaper, where she held senior reporting, foreign correspondent and management positions.
Derek McMillan BSc (Hons), Dip Ed
Chief Executive Officer, Independent & Assisted Living
Mr McMillan joined Australian Unity in 1999. He held a number of executive positions before being appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Retirement Living in 2005. He is responsible for all elements of the operations and development of the retirement living business, spanning retirement villages, residential aged care and home care. He is a director of a number of Australian Unity Limited subsidiaries. Mr McMillan is chairman of the industry peak body, the Retirement Living Council, and a director of the Property Council of Australia, Leading Age Services Australia—Victoria and the National Ageing Research Institute. Mr McMillan has more than 20 years’ commercial experience in the health and ageing, financial services and agricultural industries.
Mel Honig BEc, LLB, GAICD
General Counsel, Company Secretary & Chief Risk Officer
Ms Melinda Honig joined Australian Unity in February 2016, as General Counsel, Company Secretary, and Chief Risk Officer. In her role Ms Honig is responsible for managing the Group’s Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Secretariat function. She is also secretary for all Group subsidiary boards. Prior to joining Australian Unity, Ms Honig worked for GE for 15 years, five of those years with GE Capital in the role of General Counsel, overseeing the provision of legal services to GE Capital’s commercial finance, consumer finance and insurance businesses in Australia and New Zealand. Ms Honig brings to Australian Unity her executive experience in legal, compliance and company secretary functions and has worked abroad as Counsel for GE Indonesia, in operations which included transportation, energy and GE Capital. Prior to joining GE, Ms Honig was at KPMG for 5 years and undertook her legal training in Tax at KPMG.
Tahir Tanveer BA (Econ), M InfoTech, GAICD
Group Executive, Business Technology
Mr Tanveer joined Australian Unity in July 2008 as the Head of Solutions Delivery and in October 2009, he was appointed General Manager, Business Technology before being appointed Group Executive, Business Technology in October 2010. Mr Tanveer is responsible for the management of the business technology group which deploys the company’s technology solutions and translates strategies into appropriate business outcomes. Mr Tanveer has more than 20 years’ of extensive experience in developing strategies, improving business operations and implementing technology solutions in the financial services sector. He is also a qualified project director certified by the Australian Institute of Project Management and has managed multi-million dollar projects.
Jane Betts PGDip (Bus)
Group Executive, Human Resources
Ms Betts joined Australian Unity in May 2015 as the Group Executive for Human Resources. In her role she is responsible for the leadership of all of the Australian Unity Human Resource functions. Prior to joining Australian Unity from NAB, Ms Betts was the Head of People for JB Were. Ms Betts has held HR Leadership roles for over 20 years both in Australia and New Zealand. Her experience has largely been in Financial Services and Insurance Companies including Medibank Private, Accident Compensation Corporation and AMP. In addition to leadership of HR functions Ms Betts has led a large operations function within the ANZ Banking Group. Ms Betts has a Post Graduate Diploma in Business (Human Resources).
